Lockmark: Private Bookmarks
These Terms govern your use of Lockmark: Private Bookmarks (the "App"), the companion apps for macOS and iOS, and the Safari Web Extension (together, the "Services"). By installing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms.
The Services
Lockmark: Private Bookmarks lets you save, organize, and lock bookmarks behind a password you set, and sync them across your own devices via your iCloud account. A free tier limits how many bookmarks are visible at once; a Pro pass removes that limit.
Your account and data
There is no Lockmark: Private Bookmarks account — the App runs entirely on your device and your own iCloud storage. You are responsible for remembering your unlock password and for the security of the Apple ID used for sync. See our Privacy Policy for how bookmark data and passwords are stored.
You are responsible for the content of any bookmark you save. Don't use the App to store or organize links to content that is illegal in your jurisdiction.
Purchases
Pro access is offered as a non-renewing, time-limited in-app purchase (currently $0.99 for one month or $4.99 for twelve months), billed and processed by Apple through the App Store. Purchases do not automatically renew. Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store's own refund policy — we cannot issue refunds directly. If you reinstall the App or move to a new device, use "Restore Purchase" in the Upgrade tab to reapply an active Pro pass.
Acceptable use
You agree not to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the Services except as permitted by applicable law, and not to use the Services in a way that violates Apple's App Store guidelines or applicable law.
No warranty
The Services are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Because bookmark data lives only on your device and in your own iCloud account, we cannot recover lost data — for example, data cleared by a password reset or an uninstalled app.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lockmark: Private Bookmarks and its developer are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Services, including loss of bookmark data.
Changes to the Services or these Terms
We may update the Services or these Terms over time. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms. Material changes will be reflected by a new "Last updated" date on this page.
Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time by deleting the App and extension. We may discontinue the Services at any time; because all data is local to your device and iCloud account, you retain your data on-device regardless.
